Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse

May I first start this post with a completely off-the-topic-non-related subject? This being ‘Serial’. And my new found obsession. I’m so into it. I have listened to 8 in 3 days. I tend to do this - when I love something, I frigging love it and will obsess about it until I tank out or said something finishes (a tv show, podcast etc.) So Serial, it’s a series created by Sarah Koenig who is investigating a murder case that happened in 1999 where a young teenage girl was murdered and her ex-boyfriend was charged for her murder. It’s fascinating. I won’t harass you anymore about it, I just suggest you ‘get on it’ as we say in the UK.

So back to beauty stuff and things.

I was getting mad keen on the idea of at home facial massages,  I liked the idea of giving myself a little extra treatment – funny that facial massage is the only type of massage that seems non-weird to do to yourself, like giving yourself a foot massage just feels creepy and a bit fetishy – so I needed a facial oil and in a complete non-researched out-of-the-blue purchase, I got Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. Now after reading more about this – after purchase – I did see that some people were complaining that the oil caused them to break out (not ala Foo Fighters) so I almost hesitate to recommend this oil, purely because of this fact. I myself, however, have had no problems at all. My skin just loves this stuff, it drinks it up and asks for more. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and it can feel so, so foreign to be putting more oil onto my face but it doesn’t upset my skin at all. It feels so soft and nourished after using and it’s the perfect base then for my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. The smell is just, eugh beaut, it feels like being in a spa. I hear people recommending the larger size purely due to it having a spray applicator (the 50ml doesn’t) but I don’t think I’d prefer the spray at all, like most oil bottles the product is dispensed drop by drop so it’s easy to get exactly the amount you need.

Yeah, love it. I tend to use it after a bath and the residue that’s on my hands I rub into the ends of my hair. Haven’t tried it on the rest of my body yet but I can see it being super nourishing for feet, legs etc.

You can get Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse for £17.00 for 50ml.
