Beach Waves with Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.

Curls were uncool when I was in school. (No, this isn’t the start of some terrible rap). Nowadays however; messy, bed hair/beach waves are so on trend and there are numerous products out there that promise that sexy ‘the swells are bitchin’, I just rode a perfect A-Frame it’s really going-off out there – and have you seen how good my hair looks?’ hair style. (And thank you tidalpush.com for the surf terms dictionary). Even a girl like me living in the West Midlands (where the closest we get to surf - is swells created by ducks coming after your Hovis Best-of-Both) can pretend we hail from SoCal.

There are plenty of product choices out there from budget to high-end, not all fulfill the objective but Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray does and then some. It’s my go to product for hair styling nowadays; I spritz it onto damp hair, then I usually blow dry my fringe and the roots (to help it dry quicker) and let it air dry. Above is the result with no added heat styling. I am obsessed. My hair is naturally wavy but when air dried without product it can be frizzy, unruly and certainly doesn’t hold curls like it does with Surf Spray applied. My hair is then workable for up to 4 days without washing, I just add some dry shampoo (currently COLAB in Paris) and define the curls with a wand if it needs it. It also looks great when I throw it up in a bun as it has the added texture.

Surf’s up dude.

  1. Straight hair was in when I was at school too, having naturally curly hair (and being a red head) meant my hair didn't fit in. Now I have left everybody loves my curls! I love your hair in these pictures, it looks so pretty and cool. If Surf Spray delivers these results with little use from heat styling then I think I need to go and splash my cash!!!!!

    1. Same for me Kat - I abused my hair massively in school in order to 'fit in'! Your hair sounds gorgeous, I think this is well worth a splurge :)

  3. That hair ❤❤
I'm opposite of you, I have stick straight hair! I'd love some waves in my hair for some volume and definition... but we all want what we don't have right? Bumble and Bumble products are great too, they always smell so good xx

    1. I take that as the greatest compliment. 'Kokomo' is the theme song to my life - being in The Beach Boys would be life's greatest goal.

I am stoked by your move - see how I'm keeping up with the surf speak there?

      Thanks Grace! :)
