March Favourites 2015

It's that time of the month again, coincidentally its THAT time of the month too - TMI? Alright.. Period jokes aside, here's what I've been loving this month.

LAST MINUTE ADDED FAVOURITE THAT WAS NOT PHOTOGRAPHED BUT I STILL WANT TO MENTION BECAUSE, BLOODY HELL - Cadbury Creme Egg Biscuits, I had some of these yesterday and Holy Biscuit these are good.

First off, Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray - I featured this in a post here if you want to see photographs of the super-fab-sexy-I-can-surf-I-swear results. Yeah, loving this stuff. I know that if you're anything like me you may have picked up this bottle in Boots which then resulted in a minor heart attack when you realised you were actually holding the £24.00 RRP full sized bottle and not a travel size version. But, something magical is going on within this bottle. It is everlasting. I've been using this every time I've washed my hair this past 6 weeks and hardly made a dent. Just a quick mention of a Nars kohl eyeliner because I've been rocking it a lot recently and having boycotted kohl eyeliner for a couple of years - we became too dependent on each other in my emo-youth and for years I viewed the world through black-framed, 'teen angst don't talk to me' eyes - I'm glad we have made amends and it's back in my life again in a subtler manner.

La Roche-Possay Effaclar Duo is hero in a tube. Like, seriously. I am a sufferer of the scourge that is chin demons which usually appear the same time each month (shocker) but since using this stuff I haven't had an 'episode'. I feel incomplete when I haven't used this on ma face. Last 'beauty' item is a fragrance I've been wearing a lot since buying it for myself (when you're as special as I am, you need to be spoiled - vom) for my birthday in February. I adore the scent of Diptyque's Philosykos it is so, so unlike any other perfume I have smelled before, this resulting in so many "what are you wearing?!"'s. I was torn between the solid compact and the oil roll on but after much discussion with the girls at Diptyque we decided that the roll on would linger longer on the skin. I'm also obsessed with the packaging too and the super cool pouch it comes with for throwing in your bag.

Finally, can we talk about Skillshare? I recently signed up and it has taken over podcasts for the evening slot in my entertainment schedule. I joined to start with purely to enrol in Trashhand's class 'Street Photography - Capture the Life of Your City' - if you don't know who Trashhand is then you should check out his Instagram feed for insanely beautiful, hip, carefully constructed and stunningly edited photography. Now, being from a small town I am very much living my life vicariously through Trashhand and his Chicago playground - somehow I fear that Poundland, Cataloge Surplus and the local drunk kicking pigeons wouldn't translate cool on camera. But this is well, well worth signing up for its so in depth and he walks you through his editing process using VSCO which is super interesting, he talks about his style and how he approaches shots plus he is super engaging to watch.

PS. I recently have discovered the joy that is Prison Break and the hotness that is Michael Scofield and I'm upset with myself that it has been this long before I have let Wentworth Miller into my life.

PSS. I just wrote Phillip Schofield instead of Michael Scofield - somehow I don't see Phillip getting arrested for bank robbery and breaking out of a maximum security prison anytime soon (British joke?).

PSSS. Sorry this post is belated and is 13 days in to the month of April but I have been away in Dublin having Spa days and drinking Guiness (srry nt srry).
